Bite Beauty Luminous Crème Lipstick: Tannin

Yummm, look at that gorgeous red (if you can see past my forehead shine)!!! Argh, I really want to give this one a full five lips rating, but it was sheer enough that getting the color to lie even on the lips was a pain! I think having the bullet instead of just a pallet would have helped, but alas, I had to work with what was available. It's also super high-gloss, which I'm usually not into, but for some reason it didn't bother me too much here. I wish it were more matte though, as with most of the other Bite lipsticks I've tried. Oh well, the color is spectacular, if significantly lighter in tone on the lip than the lipstick itself.

The lowdown

Rosé is a bit bubblegummy on the lip for my taste (and also for the actual color of the its namesake, I think), and it is also on the sheer side. That said, I have a soft spot for peachy tones, and even though my lip color, visible through the lipstick, cools those tones a bit, there are traces that I still like. It feels really nice and moisturizing on the lip, and is quite light and pretty non-sticky. A pretty solid lipstick!

The lowdown

This has to be one of my favorites of the Bite lipstick collection I have. It seems like it will be a little sheer like most of the others, but it actually goes on quite opaque and is a lovely slightly deepened red. Nice!

Bite Beauty Luminous Crème Lipstick: Poppy

Pow! What a color! Nice and vivid, if just a bit more sheer than I'd like (as are most Bite lipsticks). The lipstick was quite soft and slippery, so applying with a brush was a little difficult. That's the problem with lip pallets: unlike with bullets, you can't do a final once-over rubbing the lipstick directly on your lips. Oh well, still happy with this amazing vivid color! Poppy pops! (Sorry, couldn't help myself)

The lowdown

So despite how bold the color is, this lipstick is actually one of the most sheer Bite lipsticks I've tried so points docked, but MAN do I love corals, especially when they actually look good on me, which is so rare! Points regained! I love that this coral has such reddish tones; I think that's what makes it flattering on my skin tone. The consistency is super soft so even application with a brush took some time, but it was worth it! Love!
